Young Professionals Travel Stipend

MICRA established the Young Professionals Travel Stipend in 2009 to assist biologist in the early stages of their career to present results of their riverine fisheries research at a professional meeting or conference.  Each year MICRA may provide travel assistance (reimbursement of actual expenses up to $1,000) to one professional staff member of a MICRA member state or federal agency.  The stipend is intended to allow the recipient to attend a professional meeting that he/she would not otherwise be able to attend without travel assistance.  Applications for the 2015 travel stipend can be submitted July 1, 2014 through January 15, 2015.  Contact the MICRA Coordinator for more information.
